Master in Cryptography from NSU is an innovative programme designed to involve young researchers in the field of modern cryptography and bring them onto a high professional level in this area. The programme covers all basic aspects of cryptography and cryptanalysis and provides deep theoretical and practical background in this field. Professionals in cryptography will be invited to deliver lectures.

Applied Mathematics and Stochastics
The Master classes in Applied Mathematics and Stochastics have been started in 2014. For the year 2017/18 the faculty proposes the three main programmes:
- Numerical Statistical Modelling,
- Inverse and Ill-Posed Problems: Theory, Numerics and Applications,
- Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorial Optimization.
All Programmes are research-oriented. Each semester a student is supposed to devote half of the time to a research project, to be done at one of institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The 2nd year of studies is completed by a Master Thesis.
