Novosibirsk – A City of Science, Culture and Business

Novosibirsk is one of the biggest cities in Russia and considered the third largest city after Moscow and St Petersburg and the biggest one behind the Ural. The City lies on both banks of the Ob river. In 2013 Novosibirsk celebrated it's 120th anniversary and it's growing rate is so high, that we can call the city the Russian Chicago. It occupies the area of 477.2 square kilometers. About 1.5 million people live here. Novosibirsk is well-known for many different industries (heavy machines, textiles, chemicals and other), research institutes, high education schools and universities.  Novosibirsk also boasts a range of galleries, museums and theaters.
